Playground song

A playground song is a type of song mostly sung by children on a playground, hence their name. Unlike nursery rhymes, which are mostly of medieval European origin, most playground songs are ahistorical and only date back to no earlier than the 20th century. They also tend to be rather "silly" as opposed to having any true meaning.
