Haskell (www.haskell.org) is an extremely powerful programming language with free implementations that run on linux and other computers. Haskell is used by many universities for advanced research since its abilities are amazing. For profit enterprises using haskell have no "big names" in the media but from many reports haskell allows programmers to get much more work done in shorter times with fewer errors. www.happs.org is a haskell web server for creating dynamic web sites. Haskell can be downloaded free and learned on a home computer.
