A seal is a marine animal that lives on land and in water. Although generally viewed as an entertaining animal, seals can be quite vicious. They are hunted in various parts of the world, though animal activists have endeavoured to stops this.
In legal terminology, to seal is to mark a document with a seal; to authenticate or make binding by affixing a seal. As a noun in legal terminology, a seal is a court seal or a corporate seal.
Also, a SEAL team is a U.S. Navy Commando group.
