Peter Roskam is a Republican congressman representing the Illinois-6th district. He gained national recognition in the 2006 congressional election, when he defeated favorite Democrat Tammy Duckworth on a local-issues and patriotic campaign. Because of his refusal to not hold in-person town hall meetings, commentators such as Glenn Beck have questioned whether he is a "progressive Republican."[1]
