Ho Chi Minh

Template:Stub Ho Chi Minh was a Vietnamese revolutionary who imposed one-party rule on Vietnam, dashing any hopes of it becoming a democratic country. He was Prime Minister of the so-called Democratic Republic of Vietnam (actually a totalitarian Communist state) from 1945 to 1955. He assumed the office of President in 1955 and remained there until his death on September 2, 1969. After the civil war ended in 1975, Saigon was renamed Ho Chi Mihn City.
