Whiskey Lullaby is a country song, recorded as a duet by Brad Paisley and Alison Krauss.
The song centers on a couple where the female ended the relationship. In the first verse (sung by Paisley), the brokenhearted male turns to alcohol to ease his pain, ultimately leading to his death by cirrhosis. In the second verse (sung by Krauss), the female feels guilt for indirectly causing his death; she too turns to alcohol and dies similarly. The two are ultimately buried next to each other beneath a willow tree.
The lyrics don't explain what led to the breakup: a video (set in the World War II era) shows the man (returning home from war) entering his house, only to find the woman cheating on him.
