The 1619 Project

The 1619 Project is a collection of revisionist history developed by the New York Times to "reframe"(in their words)[1] American history exclusively around slavery and racism.
The work has been roundly criticized, including by prominent historians James Oakes,[2] Gordon S. Wood,[3] Victoria Bynum,[4] and James McPherson.[5]
