Siege of Savannah

The Siege of Savannah was an attack in 1779 on the British stronghold of Savannah, Georgia, during the Revolutionary War in an attempt to reclaim the city which had been taken over shortly after Independence had been declared. General Casimir Pulaski was killed in battle.
