The 1619 Project

The 1619 Project is a collection of revisionist history developed by The New York Times to "reframe" (in their words)[1] American history exclusively around slavery and racism.

The work has been roundly criticized, including by prominent historians James Oakes,[2] Gordon S. Wood,[3] Victoria Bynum,[4] James McPherson,[5] and Richard Carwardine.[6]
