Hot Springs is a city in south central Arkansas.
Named for numerous hot springs in the area (which are now preserved as Hot Springs National Park), the city's main economic engine is tourism. In addition to the springs, the area also features two large lakes (Lake Hamilton and Lake Catherine) and Oaklawn Park (a horse racing track operating in early Spring, the Arkansas Derby – one of the main qualifying races for the Kentucky Derby – is the main race featured).
Former President Bill Clinton lived in Hot Springs during his childhood and gradated from Hot Springs High School in 1964.
