Polar Covalent Bond

A polar bond is a chemical bond in which the electrons are shared unequally between the atoms involved. This results in the atom having a polar charge. Although the overall charge may be zero, one side of the atom may be more negative or positive than the other side, which can cause atoms to be attracted to each other and form intermolecular bonding.
