The World Bank is a branch of the International Monetary Fund whose primary function is to offer loans and make arrangements with developing countries who are unable to adequately cope with the dynamics of global economics. Its main strategy is to exact structural adjustment programs upon countries who are unable to meet loan payments. These programs typically include privatization of several key sectors of said country's economy.
