The Red Hot Chili Peppers are an American alternative rock band which was formed in 1983. Since then, the band has gone on to releasing nine studio albums, (five of which receiving Platinum status). Their current line up consists of: Anthony Kiedis (vocals), John Frusciante (guitar, backing vocals), Flea (bass) and Chad Smith (drums).
