Ronald Jack Wright (April 8, 1953 â February 7, 2021) was an American politician who served as the U.S. Representative for Texas's 6th congressional district from 2019 until his death in 2021. He was a member of the Republican Party. Wright's wife, Susan, placed first in a special election to fill his seat on May 1, 2021.
Tenure
Wright voted in favor of the Massie amendment that spoke out against spending for forever wars. The amendment would have renamed the "Bipartisan Budget Act" to "A Bill to Kick the Can Down the Road and for Other Purposes".[1][2]
