Pikachu is an electrical, yellow mouse and a Pokémon who is the mascot of the Pokémon franchise. Ash Ketchum of the Pokémon anime series owns his own Pikachu, who is the most notable Pikachu within the Pokémon franchise. In the core games, Pikachu evolves into Raichu if its friendship with his trainer is high enough. Since Pokémon Gold and Silver Versions, Pikachu has a pre-evolved form named Pichu.
