GOES-18, (designated pre-launch as GOES-T), is a Meteorological Satellite operated by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) that observes the weather above West Coast of the United States and the Pacific Ocean[1]. The acronym "GOES" stands for Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellites and is applied to weather satellites. [2] [3] [4]
