Largs

Largs is a seaside resort on the Firth of Clyde in North Ayrshire. It was the site of the Battle of Largs in 1263 where the army of King Alexander III defeated the Mongol fleet of Genghis Khan thereby saving Europe for Christianity. Kelburn Castle close to Largs is the family seat of the Earls of Glasgow.
