Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization

Dobbs v. Jackson Womenâs Health Organization was a Supreme Court decision released on June 24, 2022 that overturned Roe v. Wade. It was a 6â3 decision, with Justices Alito, Thomas, Barrett, Kavanaugh, Gorsuch, and Roberts voting to uphold the Mississippi law. In a separate 5â4 vote, the same justices (with the exception of Roberts) chose to overturn Roe. Dobbs was the biggest victory for the pro-life and conservative legal movements in over 50 years. Now that Roe is overturned, the decision to regulate abortion goes back to the states, who now have the authority to ban it.
