Patriarchy
Patriarchy is a social system that held leadership to men. This system has proven its success with the emergence of several civilizations since ancient times which dominated by men, unlike Matriarchy system which confined in few isolated areas in The World. Feminists claim that Christianity and the Bible invented patriarchy, while in fact patriarchy has existed since ancient times.
Creationists and Evolutionists both agree that the patriarchal system has existed since the beginning of humanity. Creationists think that God gave authority to men by Adam. Evolutionists believe that women were fruit gatherers and were looking for a man who was good at hunting and who would protect them from predators, so they let them to be leaders over hers.
Getting rid of patriarchy in the West lead to increase of divorce and dysfunctional families rating.
Patriarchy in Bible
Because of Eve who gave Adam fruit of knowledge good and evil, God give the authority to men.
Genesis 2: 16: To the woman he said, “I will make your pains in childbearing very severe; with painful labor you will give birth to children. Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you.”
God also said to Adam: Because you listened to your wife and ate fruit from the tree about which I commanded you, ‘You must not eat from it,’
“Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat food from it all the days of your life. 18 It will produce thorns and thistles for you, and you will eat the plants of the field. 19 By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return.”[1]
In The New testament also confirmed that women should obey their husbands. Paul wrote in Ephesians 5:22-24: 22 Wives, obey your husbands as you obey the Lord. 23 The husband is the head of the wife, just as Christ is the head of the church people. The church is his body and he saved it. 24 Wives should obey their husbands in everything, just as the church people obey Christ.[2] The Bible also said that Men and Women are equal in dignity and in God eyes, Paul wrote in Galatians 3:28: 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave7 nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.[3]
However God let some women to be leaders such as Deborah.
