The Lost Cause of the Confederacy (Or simply the Lost Cause), is a view of the American Civil War, that the Confederacy's reason for secession were Good, and Just.

Believers of the Lost Cause are usually referred to as "Lost Causers".

Reasons why the South seceded vary but the most common one is usually states' rights.
