Book of Kells

The Book of Kells was completed in about 800 AD by Irish Catholic monks. The calfskin manuscript contains lavishly illustrated manuscripts of the four Gospels. It is regarded as one of the most remarkable manuscripts in world history. It is now kept in Trinity College Dublin. The contents of the book consist of the four gospels together with various related material. [1]
