A UK national daily newspaper known for its liberal stance, being pro-abortion on demand, anti-Bush and critical of Tony Blair's support for the war on Iraq. These are widely held views among the more intellectual British newspapers, even conservative ones such as the Daily Telegraph. It has just celebrated the publishing of its 50,000th edition.

Originally known as the Manchester Guardian, since it was originally published there, it is owned by a charitable organisation, which ensures that it remains independent of any particular political philosophy.

It often contains articles by left-wing, agnostic and atheist writers, so Christian conservatives are recommended to read it to enable them be aware of a wide range of views.
