Salvia divinorum

Salvia divinorum is a dangerous new drug marketed under labels like "Mind Screw x37" that is obtained from a perennial herb in the mint family native to certain areas of the Sierra Mazateca region of Oaxaca, Mexico. Because it is not a chemical analogue of any currently scheduled alkaloid, it's active constituent Salvinorin A is not illegal. Consequently, children are still able to purchase and smoke the drug, often leading to self-mutilation, murder and suicide.
