The California Institute of Technology, known as "Caltech",(established 1891), is a preeminent private college in Pasadena, California, which is known for academic and research excellence in science, particularly physics. It has featured the highest-caliber student body in the United States in terms of SAT scores.

Richard Feynmann was a physics professor there, and its faculty has won many Nobel Prizes.
