"Calvin received an excellent education." From where? Why is it excellent? Why is this statement even being made?

You shouldn't have to in-line explain tonsuring. It's off subject, and needs its own entry if you really want to talk about it.

"Eventually the Protestant thinkers at the University won Calvin to their way of thinking". 'Won to' is awkward/amateurish sounding. It doesn't make any sense.

The entire last paragraph is italicized. Why?

Saying that they "over-emphasize" predestination is a normative/judgmental statement. Why even mention it?

This entire article needs to be re-written. It just sounds awful.
