Calculus is a mathematical subject which studies limits, derivatives, integrals and infinite series. Calculus is used extensively in science and engineering to solve complex and expansive problems where algebra is insufficient. It builds on analytic geometry and mathematical analysis and includes two major branches, differential calculus and integral calculus, that are related by the fundamental theorem of calculus. Sir Issac Netwon was one of the most famous inventors of calculus, however there are several others who developed the foundations calculus including Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz.[1]
