Linkin Park is a popular NU metal band that has frequently been in the top Songs/Albums in the iTunes music store. The band has a hardcore rock type of sound with very catchy choruses. The band has been around since 1996 when it was known as Xero. Xero later morphed into Linkin Park. A Christian alternative to Linkin Park is P.O.D
