Transverse Myelitis is the sudden onset of spinal cord disease. Symptoms include general back pain followed by weakness in the feet and legs that moves upward.
There is no cure and many patients are left with permanent disabilities or paralysis. Transverse Myelitis is a demyelinating disorder that may be associated with Multiple Sclerosis (MS).[1]
