"Righteous Among the Nations" is an official title awarded by Yad Vashem – The World Holocaust Remembrance Center on behalf of Israel to non-Jews who risked their lives to save Jews during the Holocaust. Over 26,000 individuals from various backgrounds, including Christians and Muslims, have been recognized for acts like hiding Jews, providing false papers, or smuggling.[1]
