John Baumgardner
Dr. John Baumgardner is a young earth creationist scientists with the following academic credentials: B.S., Texas Tech University, Lubbock, 1968; M.S., Electrical Engineering, Princeton University, Princeton, NJ, 1970; M.S., Geophysics and Space Physics, University of California, Los Angeles, 1981; Ph.D., Geophysics and Space Physics, University of California, Los Angeles, 1983. Dr. Baumgardner is a staff scientist at the Theoretical Division at Los Alamos National Laboratory, where he performs research in planetary mantle dynamics which includes the potential for catastrophic mantle overturn. Dr. Baumgarder has also authored papers describing proposed mechanism for the Genesis Flood referred to as “catastrophic plate tectonics,” at three International Conferences on Creationism which were held in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Dr. Baumgardner’s current work at Los Alamos National Laboratory involves the development of a new global ocean model for investigating climate change. He is also currently a member of the Radioisotopes and the Age of the Earth (RATE) committee and an adjunct faculty member of the Institute for Creation Research. [3]
