Leah (Hebrew לֵאָה ) is Jacob's first wife, daughter of Laban, and the mother of six of the twelve sons of Jacob. Although Jacob loved Rachel and agreed to work seven years to marry her, Laban tricked Jacob into marrying Leah instead and so Jacob ended up married to both of them after working another seven years. Later on, Rachel and Leah come into conflict over Jacob's affections.
