The Stanley Cup is the top award of the National Hockey League, and the oldest award being played for in Professional sports. It was created by Lord Stanley, a Canadian Governor General. "The Cup" is awarded annually, and the trophy is added to each year with the winning team and the players, coaches, and management and club staff are all immortalised.
