I left a note on TimothyR's talk page directing him here. I don't think anything should be done until he has a chance to respond.

My opinion is: if he is not one of the homeschooled students working on Conservapedia, an AFD on the article should be opened and discussed with the probable result being deletion. If he is one of the homeschoolers, in deference to him the article should be kept, but he should be asked to give the actual recipe and not tease readers by holding back secret ingredients or cooking directions. He should also be asked to do a little work adding something factual and encyclopedic to the article on Potatoes. Just my $0.02. Dpbsmith 13:16, 10 March 2007 (EST)

User:MountainDew has deleted it. I don't think it should be undeleted, but I think this discussion should be continued and I think TimothyR should be heard from. At Wikipedia this would not have been considered a valid "speedy deletion" (deleted by a sysop without discussion). It might have been a streamlined "proposed deletion" (listed for a few days and deleted if nobody complains) or might well have been a full-fledged AFD discussion, which would have turned on the point that Wikipedia has, for several years, not allowed articles that are simply cooking recipes, and the issue is whether "Cheesy potatoes" are of importance as part of the culture of the United States (as "Pecan pie" and "Cheesesteak" are).
