Article is much better than Wikipedia's, and gives a more fair treatment than the recent National Geographic article.

However, the "accumulation" bit is still overblown. What evidence is there that any wildlife (let alone humans) have been hurt by DDT?

Also the role of the UN and Europe in suppressing third-world use of DDT for disease prevention must be amplified. Some conservatives charge that one million people a year have died from malaria per year as a result of environmentalist campaigns. Is this connected to the zero population growth movement?

And what made the WHO suddenly change its mind about indoor spraying? (Surely it was not my dogged work at Wikipedia, uncovering the liberal prejudice against the chemical . . .) --Ed Poor Talk 07:57, 19 July 2007 (EDT)
