Dictionary

A dictionary is a book that contains an often exhaustive and alphabetized listing of all known words in a particular language. The meanings of the words are given along with their origin, pronunciation and plurals. Some dictionaries also include example sentences or words translated from other languages. The creation of dictionaries can be a dynamic process, due to languages continually developing new words.
