I have a big problem with this, check my last edit - I think we should emphasise the importance of Abraham of casting off his love for his son at the behest of God as being a wicked thing, but since it stems from God it is an example of Abraham's devotion to God. Does that make sense?

- Personally, I think it detracts. It never says in Scripture that Abraham casts off all love for his son, only that he is obedient to God's instructions. I don't believe we should add information that isn't there. The story speaks well for itself (in my opinion). Learn together 14:31, 19 July 2007 (EDT)
