The Left Behind Series are a series of book authored by Tim Lahaye and Jerry Jenkins starting with the Rapture and continuing until the coming of Jesus. It deals with the period of the Tribulation under the AntiChrist and examines how people cope who have been "left behind".
Originally planned to be a three book set, the total story included twelve books.

Since that time other prequels and sequels have been written, but that was the original story arc. Over 63,000,000 copies have been sold.
