Gene

A section of DNA that codes for the production of a protein or a portion of a protein. The gene is the fundamental unit of heredity. Although the gene is the fundamental unit of heredity, changes in genes (known as evolution) cannot explain the differences between species, which require an Intelligent Designer[1].
