Malta

Malta is a small archipelago nation in the Mediterranean Sea that is about twice the size of Washington, D.C. at 316 sq km. Its capital is Valetta. It was a member of the British Commonwealth until gaining independence in 1964. Its population is just over 400,000 [1]. Malta is mentioned in Acts 28 of the Bible as a place where Paul was shipwrecked.
