In the Bible, Sarah (Hebrewשָ××¨Ö¸× ) is the wife of Abraham and mother of Isaac. Her name is initially Sarai before God changes it. Sarah was the first of the patriarchs and matriarchs to be buried in Mearat Machpelah (the Cave of the Patriarchs). Eventually all the patriarchs and all the matriarchs but Rachel would be buried there.
