Endothermic

An endothermic process is any process that uses up more heat than it produces.

In biology, a creature is endothermic if it has an internal mechanism by which it can regulate its own body temperature, keeping it constant.[1] A chemical reaction is endothermic if it requires the input of heat to go forward.
