Live Prayer
Live Prayer is an evangelical television program based in St. Petersburg, Florida, Florida. The show airs live Monday through Friday at 1 am eastern time (10pm pacific) on CW44 in Florida. Viewers can call in to the live broadcast and ask the host Rev. Bill Keller questions about the bible and can request prayer. The Live Prayer website was created 8 years ago and the TV show was started 4 years ago, since then there have been over 1000 episodes.
Live Prayer was on nationwide television in the United States in November of 2006 on the I network; however, the ministry was unable to continue to pay for the expensive national air time so it is now only on local TV in Florida. Live Prayer has plans to return to national TV in the future. Live Prayer can also be watched live over the internet on the Live Prayer website. [1]
Controversy
Live Prayer has been embroiled in controversy many times. Bill Keller claims to deliver the truth of the bible without modification even when people may be offended.
Mitt Romney remark
On May 11th 2007, Bill Keller wrote in his daily devotional and said on his TV program that "a vote for Romney is a vote for satan" because Mitt Romney is a member of the Mormon [[[Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints]] which he considers to be a Satanic-cult. [1][2] Barry Lynn of Americans United for Seperation of Church and State later wrote a letter to the IRS asking them to remove Live Prayer's tax exempt status over Bill Keller's remark. [3][4]
