Four Noble Truths

The Four Noble Truths are four central teachings of Buddhism, declared by Gautama Buddha. They are:
- Life means suffering
- Suffering is caused by attachment to fleeting things
- The elimination of attachment is possible
- The 8-Fold Path is the means by which to do this.[Citation Needed]
