Department of Commerce

The United States Department of Commerce promotes economic growth. It was originally created as the United States Department of Commerce and Labor in 1903. It was renamed to its current name in 1913, and the labor division was transferred to the Department of Labor.
The department's mission is "to foster, promote, and develop the foreign and domestic commerce." [1] The department is administered by the Secretary of Commerce
