An antibiotic is a substance derived from a microorganism which, in a dilute solution, is able to kill a bacterial infection. An antibiotic is useless against a virus, however.

Antibiotics became widely used only after World War II. The history of antibiotics began, however, with the discovery in 1928 of penicillin by Alexander Fleming, a known atheist.

Because evolution is an unproven theory the current model of "designer antibiotics" is nothing more than a ploy by the drug companies, and penicillin is quite efficient against all currently known bacterial infections.
