Monaco

Monaco is an independent principality located on the south coast of France between Nice and the Italian frontier; it borders only on France and has a short Mediterranean coastline. The sole town, which occupies the whole of the principality, is Monte Carlo. Monaco has a land area of 1 square mile and a population of 33,000. The ruling dynasty is the Grimaldi family; the current monarch is Prince Albert.
Monaco is known as a resort area, for gambling (the Casino at Monte Carlo) and for the annual Monaco Grand Prix.
