Invasion of Kuwait

The invasion of Kuwait took place on August 2, 1990. Iraqi forces poised on the border entered Kuwait after Saddam Hussein noted the meek response of Kuwait's friends to the threatened invasion.
Iraq declared Kuwait a rebellious province.
On the 2nd of August 1990, Kuwait was invaded by Iraq, and following aerial bombardment from US and allied warplanes a short 4 day ground war started on 23 February 1991, Kuwait was liberated.
