Fossil fuel

Fossil fuels - coal, oil and natural gas, are sources of energy that are generally believed to have been formed from the remains of plants and animals that lived long ago[1] and are thus essentially non-renewable.
There are, however, some scientists who claim that these fuels are found in deposits beneath the earth created through ongoing abiotic processes.[2]
