Police

Police are the enforcers of law in a society. Their job entails investigating crimes and arresting criminal to be brought to trial. Police are a cornerstone of any just society, as they are necessary to enforce the Rule of Law. In America, the police are looked up to as heroes by most people.
However, liberals often do not see police as necessary. They have created several forms of hate speech(i.e. "the fuzz" or "pigs") to refer to policemen and oppose giving them the tools they need to carry out their duties, such as by supporting gun control or opposing the Patriot Act.
