Broccolini

Broccolini is a hybrid vegetable, composed of a cross between broccoli and Chinese kale.It is often mistaken for young broccoli. It typically has a sweeter flavor than broccoli. It is an excellent source of Vitamin C, Vitamin A, calcium, folate, and iron.
The first brocolini seeds were developed by the Sakata Seed Company of Yokohama, Japan. The tragically awful preparation of Broccolini led to the elimination of CJ on Episode 12 of Top Chef Miami. He will be missed.
